Kung Pao is a superb son sired by the legendary Accoyo El Nino.  "His compact size, striking well covered head with a short muzzle, and extremely dense high character, microbundled fleece are a near replica of his sire" as described in the 2009 Parade of Champions Auction Catalogue!  Kung Pao also has a highly uniform fleece through to his belly, shoulder, hip and right up his neck and inot his topknot, just like his sire.  His fineness (14.5 microns) combined with his density are phenomenal!

We have decided to allow five breedings to Kung Pao in 2010.  Once those breedings are sold, Kung Pao will be exclusive to Sumaq Valley Alpacas.

El Nino's accomplishments are well known - numerous Herdsire of the Year and Get of Sire awards, but Acacia, Kung Pao's dam, has a proven show record as well.  Some of her ribbons include:

1st - (class of 9) MAPACA Eastern Jubilee
2nd - 2006 Futurity Show and Sale
3rd - (class of 13) 2006 Alpaca Western Extravaganza
3rd - (class of 12) 2006 AOBA National Show
RESERVE CHAMPION (2nd in class) - 2007 Alpaca Western Extravaganza
2nd - (class of 13) 2007 MAPACA Eastern Jubilee
3rd - (class of 10) 2007 AOBA National Show
BEST HANDLE - (as a 4 year old) 2009 Western Alpaca Extravaganza Fleece Show

Kung Pao's second year fleece is as impressive as his first!  We look forward to starting Kung Pao's breeding career this summer and are anxious to see what he will do with our William daughters!

Stud Fee:
$2000 for the first five breedings booked, then he will become exclusive.

Impressario is an impressive male with an incredible fleece. He has a very tight, yet deep crimp style and the crimp is very uniform. Impressario also has a very strong and respectable pedigree. His dam, Mile High Peruvian Genesee, is a three time Colour Champion and a female that has produced high quality/show champion offspring just like her dam.

Impressario's sire, Accoyo Latigo (a Poseidon son) is an impressive stud with an equally impressive third year fleece. He too is a two time Champion. He was more than ready to begin his breeding career at 23 months of age so was retired from showing quite early.

Impressario was shown once before we purchased him and he placed 2nd in a large class. The 1st place male (who we also looked at) went on to win Grand Champion but we think Impressario had the better fleece hands down so we bought him! The fleece picture to the right includes Impressario's fleece on top and his sire's third year fleece underneath.  Impressario's 2nd and 3rd year fleeces are as impressive as his first!

Impressario has settled his first females and we will have his first cria on the ground by May 2010!

Teemu is a fantastic looking young male that we added to our herd in April, 2007. And Teemu's got tons of colour on his dam's side including a true black dam.

Teemu has very good character and great density. His coverage is exceptional and he's got a solid, big boned frame. We look forward to showing him more over the next year!

Deelirious is an attractive full Peruvian male and is a full brother to our unbeatable Sumaq Valley's Deelight. Deelirious is a very interesting brown, almost a taupe colour. He has had the most incredible coverage since the day he was born and went on to win BEST HEAD at the 2006 Pacific Coast Show.

It is so hard to find a black male that has all the qualities we're looking for in our herd but we think we found them with Ninja! Ninja is a full Peruvian, fantastic looking young male. He's got the solid, square conformation we love to see with awesome coverage and a great fleece. His staple length is incredible and his fleece is very fine with good crimp.

Ninja's sire and dam are both grey. His grandsire on his sire's side and his great grandsire on his dam's side is the well known 5Peruvian Silverado so Ninja has the potential to throw grey as well.

We're hoping he's ready to start breeding late, 2008, but we will be limiting outside breedings to Ninja.

UPDATE: Ninja placed 2nd at the 2007 Empire Alpaca Extravaganza in Syracuse, NY! This was his first show. The judge commented on Ninja's solid conformation, good proportions, and nice head style. She also said she appreciated his good fleece growth since shearing, soft handle, and brightness to his fleece!

Ninja settled his first females in the spring of 2009 and we look forward to seeing what he produces!
