Sumaq Valley's Amakha

Amakha is a conformationally sound female out of High Plains Amadeus. She is dark brown has good character and GREAT density. She made the top half at the 2005 CNASF, was 1st at the 2005 Pacific Coast Show in Nanaimo, and was 2nd in conformation at Alpacafest 2005! Amakha also placed 3rd at the 2005 Chilliwack Exhibition and 3rd at the Interior Provincial Exhibition in BC a month later! She is a nice big female with a friendly disposition and is being bred to NGG Lional for an August 2006 cria.

This male has a spectacular fleece! The crimp is amazing and consistent, not just through his blanket, but right up his neck, in the hip, and down his legs. D'ante is a Coyo Destini / RFA D'arcy grandson / son with superior conformation and fleece. RFA D'arcy is a Grand Champion and also had the Supreme Champion Fleece at Alpacafest 2003. D'arcy has a spectacular fleece and so does D'ante with fineness, extreme crimp, and density. D'ante's dam is RFA Crystal Star, an Ivano daughter. She did well for us in the show ring: Reserve Best of Age at Alpacafest 2003, Reserve Grand Champion Female at Alpacafest 2003, and 4th (in a class of 16) at the 2003 CNASF. She is a very friendly girl with a gentle disposition (even when bred) and passes this on to her offspring. We would like to retain 5 breeding to him once sold as we are confident he would be an asset to our breeding program in the future.

At Alpacafest 2003 Jewel placed 1st in her class of 13. Jewel has good proportions and a nice fine fleece. Jewel will be sold bred to Peruvian Pistachio for a July 2004 cria.

Nutrageous has outrageous crimp and bundling to her fleece! Nutrageous is full Peruvian and her mom is a beautiful dark brown out of Peruvian Peralta. She's got density, coverage, character, and is absolutely perfect. Nutrageous has had a great show season: 4th at Pacific Coast, 3rd at the Canadian National Futurity, and 2nd at Alpacafest 2005. At the 2005 Chilliwack Exhibition she placed 1st in her class, won Best of Age, and Grand Champion Female. At the IPE a month later, she was 2nd, beaten by Sumaq Valley's Deeva. At the 2006 CNASF, Nutrageous was 3rd and was the Grand Champion female at the 2006 IPE. Nutrageous has been bred Sweet William for an August 2007 cria.

Aztec Yuri

Yuri is a fantastic CPeruvian Zhivago (owned by Brewster Alpacas and Aztec Alpacas) son. His fleece has gone from good when he was born to excellent 5 months later. Yuri has a dense fleece with very good crimp and good bundling that is consistent through the hip. His conformation is very good as well Yuri and is a good sized male.
Yuri's sire, Zhivago, is a full Peruvian brown male and his dam, Kali Ben, is a dark fawn female out of Vaccoyo. Kali is an excellent producer and her offspring always show very well including winning "Best Head". She has maintained good character in her fleece, typical of Vaccoyo offspring, as she's aged and passes on her fleece qualities to her offspring.

Mo is a very straight, tall looking suri with fantastic lock definition, His dam, Mikhaela, is also the dam of our Supreme Champion (CNASF 2004) female, SVA Fabio's Sunbeam. Mo has a great disposition and we look forwad to showing him at the Futurity this year. We would like to retain a couple breedings to Mo once sold.
UPDATE: Mo was 1st in the only class of suris at the 2006 CNASF!

Deeva is a full sister to our amazing Deelight. She has extreme staple length and is so cute! Deeva placed 3rd behind Nutrageous at Alpacafest 2005, 2nd behind Nutrageous at the Chilliwack Exhibition (where she also won Reserve Best of Age and Reserve Champion), but then 1st, beating Nutrageous, at the 2005 Interior Provincial Exhibition in Armstrong! Deeva has been bred to Sweet William for an August 2007 cria.

Nola had an absolutely amazing boy in 2002, Sumaq Valley's Lucky Charm. Lucky showed really well and began breeding last year. Nola's 2005 cria, Sumaq Valley's Heatwave is a full brother to Lucky but is fawn and has even better fibre! Heatwave already has a number of ribbons to his credit including a 2nd place at the 2006 CNASF!
At 6 years of age, Nola's staple length and coverage are incredible and she passes this on to her offspring. She has always been one of our favourite females and is a good mom and an easy keeper.
Nola has been rebred to OACL Ashton who is an incredible white male. At the 2003 CABA Fleece Show, Ashton's fleece beat the 2002 CNASF Supreme Champion and the 2002 Farm Fair Supreme Champion! Ashton is very fine and dense with strong conformation and good coverage. His dam is also very fine and had a 15 micron at three years of age. She has had other excellent cria with microns as low as 14!

Pixie is the first offspring born to Peruvian Fabio and we are very impressed. She has all the qualities you want to see in a suri: excellent lustre, nice coverage, and fibre with locks that twist all the way to the skin. Pixie placed 2nd at the 2004 Canadian National Alpaca Futurity behind her half sister Sunbeam. Pixie delivered a huge Mojo daughter (Mojave) in 2005 and a BROWN Fawnzy son, Chachi, in 2006. Pixie has breen rebred to our black male, Tell Bugaboo.

We had to think long and hard about selling this female! This is the first cria out of Sumaq Valley's Deelight. Deelight has won Grand Champion 4 times (including in 2005 at 3 years of age) in fleece shows as well as Judge's Choice Fleece in 2004, Reserve Grand Champion Female twice in 2004 , and numerous other 1st place wins! She has incredible fibre especially for a coloured animal. The character and density are amazing so we couldn't wait to see what she would produce for us! We bred Deelight to NGG Lional, a Bueno son. Deelilah has perfect conformation like her mom and Lional and a fleece that should be very competitive in the ring.
UPDATE: Deelilah has done very well in the showring already this year. At Pacific Coast, she won her class, won Grand Champion Coloured Female and then Reserve Champion Female! At the 2006 CNASF, Deelilah was 3rd, and at the 206 A.L.P.A.C.A. Odyssey Show, Deelilah was 2nd in a class of 12!

We were surprised when Caramel was born. Caramel is out of two black parents! Her sire, Chocolate Overload, is a full Bolivian, true black male. Chocolate is a nice looking male with good bone and good coverage. Caramel's dam is a PCA Palomino (Camilio son) daughter, Kelowna's Lady Aberdeen. Abby is a solid bay black female and is a fantastic mom. We never have to worry about her losing weight with cria at side! Caramel has very good density and leg coverage and if we were to keep her we'd probably breed her back to black. Caramel will be weaned in January, 2006

Firestorm's sire is a solid true black and his dam is a solid bay black. Strider has great fleece characteristics, coverage, and conformation. Abby's fleece has a nice, soft handle for a black and conformationally she is sound. Firestorm's fleece is fantastic. In a class of 10 blacks, Firestorm placed 3rd at the 2004 International A.L.P.A.C.A. Odyssey in Edmonton. So far, Firestorm seems to have inherited Strider's crimpy fleece and Abby's soft fleece. We are confident that Firestorm will be a quality bay black male.

Lil' Thunder is a well put together young female. Her colour is very consistent for a fawn and she has good coverage. Lil' Thunder's fleece is soft and uniform with crimp extending up her neck and down her legs. At Alpacafest 2004, Lil' Thunder placed 4th in a class of 12 fawns and 2nd at the 2004 Chilliwack Exhibition. She has been bred to Peruvian Peralta (Sire of Deelight, Lucky Charm, and Bliss) for a July 2005 cria.

Elixir is a fantastic, dark coloured male with excellent fibre and excellent conformation. Elixir is out of one of our favourite males, Peruvian Peralta. Peralta is a dark brown and was only 17 microns at 3 years of age. He has produced ribbon winning offspring in every colour including grey, white, and black! Examples of other Peralta offspring, such as Sumaq Valley's Deelight, Sumaq Valley's Deeva, Sumaq Valley's Heatwave, and Sumaq Valley's Deelirious, can be seen on our website. Sumaq Valley's Lucky Charm is also a Peralta offspring as is listed on our AN site as well. Elixir is out of a true black female, E'clipse. E'clipse is a typey little female with awesome coverage! She is one of our favourites and has a couple 2nd place ribbons to her credit. We think Elixir is going to be an awesome male. His fibre has looked good since the day he was born. It has a nice deep crimp, it is consistent through the blanket, hip and neck, and it is incredibly soft! We would like to retain 5 breedings to him however, should he sell. UPDATE: Elixer has two 3rd places to his credit this year already! Elixir was 3rd in a class of 10 at the Pacific Coast Show and 3rd in a huge class at the 2006 CNASF! Elixir also just did really well at the 2006 A.L.P.A.C.A. Odyssey placing 2nd in a huge class of 14 blacks!

Hazelnut's mom is probably one of the nicest fawns in Canada with an amazing histogram at 7 yrs of age: AFD 21.9, SD 3.6, CV 16.6, %>30 2.0. We were hoping that Pistachio would throw the colour of the dam, but we're not too disappointed. Hazelnut is a beautiful little cria with a super soft fleece. Hazelnut has been bred to Sweet William for a September 2005 cria.
